Manchester-based Ocean's early success with games like Hunchback and Kong gave them the cash to buy the Imagine name and logo, and also take a 50% stake in US Gold. The Hit Squad began life as a label for their first compilation titles, the They Sold A Million series, and was revived when they eventually entered the budget market in 1989. Ocean has the best chart record of any publisher with over fifty number one titles. RoboCop leads the Top 100 Releases chart as the best performing release.
