Imagine
History
Imagine Software was formed by former Bug-Byte employees. The company infamously went into administration having failed to produce its much-hyped "mega-games", Psyclape and Bandersnatch. Beau Jolly, having already bought their back-catalogue, ended up publishing the final Imagine game B.C. Bill after the company had been wound up.
Ocean bought the branding and used the Imagine name as a full price label until 1989. The staff effectively split into two groups; one formed Denton Designs and went on to develop hits including Shadowfire, Frankie Goes To Hollywood and The Great Escape. The second group would eventually become Psygnosis and would use the name Psyclapse as a budget label.
