Quicksilva
History
Quicksilva were one of the earliest software houses and formed in 1979. As well as their own range of early arcade clones they also published The Trader Trilogy for Pixel Productions and ports of Llamasoft games for Salamander Software. Argus Press bought the company in 1984 and had their best chart performance with Soft Aid in early 1985. The charity compilation was the final release before Argus moved the company to London and managers Paul Cooper and Rod Cousens left to run the Electric Dreams label for Activision.
Argus Press became Grandslam in late 1987 and used the Quicksilva name for the last time on their conversions of Namco's Pac-Land.
