Calisto

History

Calisto Computers was not only a software publisher but also a shop that imported titles from the US, particularly for Atari computers. Owner Mike Woodroffe developed strong connections with Adventure International and would go on to form the UK wing, Adventure International (UK), converting Scott Adams' adventures to British computers with Brian Howarth of Digital Fantasia.

When Adventure International went bankrupt in 1986, the UK company became AdventureSoft and produced titles for Tynesoft and US Gold.
