Ariolasoft

History

Almost all of Ariolasoft's hits were licensed from Electronic Arts. After EA opened its own headquarters in the UK, Ariolasoft launched two new full-price labels publishing original software: Starlight run by Francis Lee, formerly of Beyond, and Reaktor. Neither was successful and in 1987 the label was closed down by its German parent company, Bertelsmann.
