Nexus Productions
History
Nexus Productions was set up following Telecomsoft's purchase of of Beyond by Psytron programmers Paul Voysey and Tayo Olowu who were soon joined by Beyond's Bill Delaney and Clive Bailey. The company took its name from its first release, N.E.X.U.S., which had initially been scheduled for release by Beyond. The new company also attracted CRL's Ian Ellery and with him Tau Ceti author Pete Cooke with his new game Micronaut One.
Despite becoming an "affiliate label" of Electronic Arts in July 1987, the company collapsed by the end of the year with huge debts. Pete Cooke's follow-up to Micronaut One, Earthlight ended up being published the following year on Telecomsoft's Firebird label.
